When rapper Furious selects the tracks he wants to lay his bars to, he searches for a feeling. He’s looking to transcend to place that only a particular cord can take him. He calls it feeling-music and its what makes him the Bay Area’s best kept secret. See the Bay has become a hip hop hot spot with a significant regional sound and following but Furious refuses to be boxed in.
He’s a hip hop shoulder rubber who has the respect of the Bay Area’s most influential. That may be due to the fact that he’s had a long standing career since the 90’s, dropping his first project “If I Can’t Have None”. It was a clear showcase of Furious’s production and writing skills, along with his lyrical ability. From there he released two additional albums, Sip the Life and Things Change. Furious is also a major touring artist. In fact it’s one of his favorite aspects of the job. Meeting his fans and listeners first hand is what keeps him connected and grounded to his passion.
This native bay boy is most certainly big on collaborating. He has worked with the best when it comes to artist across the country, not just his region. Furious keeps it very humble so you won’t hear him dropping many names, but some of the notable artist he’s worked or performed along side with include E40, The Game, Scarface, Nas and Akon. The highlight of his career however, came along when he was given the chance to jump on the west coast leg of rapper Pitbull’s tour. Now even though what happens on tour stays on tour, Furious described the experience as the opportunity of a lifetime and the most fun he’s had in a long time. Most importantly he says the tour gave him a more intense focus and put him on a different page business wise.
Since his release, the Bay Area veteran has remained consistent when it comes to flooding the streets with his music. He’s put out several additional albums and projects including the EP Movie Life , accompanied by a cinematic video. Furious’ discography boast smash singles like “Take You Down” featuring E-40 and Stres. His song “One Shot” was used for the trailer of the Jennifer Lopez and Omarion movie Feel the Noise. And then theres his breakout track “Run” featuring YG and Milla produced by Clayton William. Its a huge hit that has fired up the radio waves as well as tore down the clubs. He’s following that up with an additional banger that is set to bring in 2014 just how you need it. His new single “Wet” featuring Jonn Hart and Rayven Justice is dropping in January as he teams up with Empire Recordings and you can bet the combo is a certified winner!
Furious considers himself an old school guy at heart. He takes pride in doing what he feels and makes no apologies for it. It’s the mindset he keeps, of trying to make the best song he can, that helps him remain challenged. So many years in any industry is an accomplishment, let alone lasting in the here today gone tomorrow music business. The best part of it all is that he still has plenty fight left in him. Much like his name, his impact will remain furious.\
Furious is in the studio working on his new LP which is scheduled for release at the end of this year along with a new single entitled “wet” featuring R&B artist Rayven Justice.
Earlier this year Furious and IAMSU! tore down the Mezzanine in San Francisco.
